Full Description:
Can autonomy AND high pay both be possible at a large academic medical center? You bet at Washington University in St. Louis! Our practice is made up of both medical supervision and medical direction areas, giving each CRNA a rewarding and stimulating practice. CRNAs offered paid shifts in our "Anesthesia Control Tower", providing real time clinical advice and support to all of our clinicians. Our CRNAs have the full trust and support of our department to do exciting and complex cases. CRNAs place their own invasive lines and also serve as clinical instructors to SRNAs. Imagine working at a place where your professional skill and judgment is valued and even celebrated! We have a CRNA of the Quarter Award that we present each quarter to one of our outstanding CRNAs. We are experiencing rapid growth requiring staffing expansion. Full time CRNA positions are available. Experienced CRNAs and new grads welcome! Our CRNAs have multiple opportunities to make extra income. New increased base salary. After hours pay. Plus opportunities to make extra money moonlighting in house. Take much less call than smaller private groups. We are a very collegial, CRNA friendly, academic group. Full time CRNA position working approximately 40 hours per week working M-F, plus a very modest amount of call. Tremendous university tuition benefit for dependents. Work as an employee of the Washington University School of Medicine, providing anesthesia services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Level 1 Trauma Center. Practice encompasses a wide variety of cases including thoracic, vascular, neuro, ortho, trauma, ENT, GYN, and bread and butter outpatient cases. OB is strictly voluntary. Some CRNAs also rotate to St. Louis Children's Hospital, strictly on a voluntary basis. Occasional weeks of evenings/swing shift are rotated among the group. Call averages once every 4 weeks as either a beeper call or in house call. 29 days scheduled time off plus 6 holidays plus additional time off for perfect attendance. Total pay is composed of salary, late pay, call pay.

A well established "CRNA friendly" practice...worlds first successful pneumonectomy performed at Barnes with a CRNA administering the anesthetic.
