FACILITY: Carle BroMenn Medical Center

Carle BroMenn Medical Center, a 221-bed full-service, not-for-profit hospital located in Normal, is one of the most advanced acute care facilities in central Illinois. From its beautiful atrium lobby to its state-of-the-art tower for critical care and obstetrics patients, the medical center's services encompass a wide range of acute, outpatient, rehabilitative and preventative health care.

Carle BroMenn Medical Center, together with Carle Eureka Hospital, serves an eight-county area in central Illinois. The region is rich with commerce, industry and agriculture, where people are friendly and traditional Midwest hospitality is the norm. While the area is growing at a rapid annual rate, crime is low and school districts are progressive.

Carle BroMenn Medical Center has been serving and caring for the people of central Illinois for nearly 120 years. In 2010, the BroMenn system merged with Downers Grove, IL-based Advocate Health Care, the largest health system in Illinois and one of the largest in all the Midwest. Advocate is one of the nation's top ten health systems based on clinical performance and operates more than 250 sites of care, including 10 acute care hospitals, one children's hospital with two campuses, one of the area's largest home health care companies and one of the region's largest medical groups. The Advocate mission is to serve the health needs of individuals, families and communities through a wholistic approach to health care that provides quality care and service, and treats each patient with respect, integrity and dignity. Carle purchased Advocate Bromenn Medical Center on July 1, 2020.

Carle BroMenn became a teaching hospital in 2002. (Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Family Practice Residency)

Carle BroMenn has a long history of offering high-quality educational programs for healthcare providers. From our long association with Mennonite College of Nursing (now part of Illinois State University) and Brokaw School of Nursing (now with Illinois Wesleyan University) to our graduate medical education program, BroMenn's commitment to higher education for health care professionals continues to grow
