The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC is seeking highly motivated physician investigators with a demonstrated track record for creative, innovative, and high-impact science to engage in academic research and clinical trials. Clinically, we offer opportunities throughout over 20 clinical locations in acute and chronic pain and neuro, cardiac, critical care, obstetric, and general anesthesiology. The position will provide start-up funds, research support, protected academic time, and a superb environment for collaboration with basic, translational, and clinical scientists. The successful candidate must a federally-funded physician investigator with a track record of high-quality academic and clinical research accomplishments, sustained extramural research funding, and publications; ABA certified/eligible or equivalent; and qualify for an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license. The ability to work with a highly productive team is critical to the success of this position.
